As Shimmer & Lace,

Our mission statement is:

"Empower generations of people with a well-rounded encouragement of art, culture, and music."

We will accomplish our mission statement by:

Using mixed media to spread the message of the importance of preserving historical elements of art culture and music through books, fashion, art, music, and television.

S&L are Belle's of the Ball!

One of our mission's for Shimmer and Lace, is to support the arts.

As creative people, we know how important it is to encourage art in younger generations.

Prada's annual Starlight Ball Gala

is a fundraiser at the Honolulu Academy of Arts.

Funds go towards programs like the Children's Art To Go program.

This years theme was Black & White.

Attendees dressed in chic attire ranging from cocktail dresses, to full length ball gowns.

With Shimmer's styling, S&L attended the ball with fabulous statement pieces which complimented not only each other, but the event theme.

Lace is wearing a Betsey Johnson dress, Bottega Venetta shoes, & an Ann Taylor clutch.

Shimmer is wearing a cotton and lycra dress from Persimmon Boutique, the broach is a vintage heirloom from Lacy's family, the shoes are Jefrey Campbell, and the clutch is vintage.

Hair & make up was styled by SHIMMER herself!

We also want to give a special thanks to Emile for all your support in making our dream come true!

Town Bound

Town is one of our favorite restaurants! They encourage local and organic farming, & always have an impressive menu.

Located in Kaimuki on Waialae and 9th Ave, it's walking distance from Lace's home & is one of our neighborhood hang outs.

Taking over the world one "Palace" at a time...

We've been in the mood to do something coooool...

So for our Shimmer & Lace weekend adventure, we headed to Ice Palace.

Yes... there is Ice Skating in Hawaii!

On Friday nights, attendees can enjoy COSMIC ICE SKATING, where the lights are dim, the black lights light the ice, and the disco ball glitters.

We decided that this was the perfect opportunity to break out our neon colors, and get funky with our outfits.

After we took over the over head announcement board, we decided to see if Lace could hit the DJ decks. And of course as S&L, we took over Ice Palace!

We'll be heading to Ice Palace again this summer, as we host the

Ice Skate into Summer party.
