Edith Piaf

Happy 4th Of July

In the United States, Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independenceon July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, political speeches and ceremonies, and various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. Independence Day is the national day of the United States.

Anything with stars, glitter, & food sounds great to us!

Have a safe holiday this weekend, & make sure to come dance your INDEPENDENCE away this First Friday with our LOVES, Fiero Music!!

Save Our Ocean!

With the current crisis in the Gulf of Mexico,

& ongoing issues concerning the ocean, and it's sea creatures..

We were proud to wake up bright and early, and join Matty Liu and the gang from Primo beer on a beach clean up.

The ocean and the animals in it are vital to us as humans!
It's our duty to respect, and protect them!

If you want to help take action
visit click here to support the National Wildlife Federation

Don't have a ton a cash to donate?
Email us at ShimmerandLace@gmail.com,
and we can arrange a beach clean up with you!

Tennis

One of our favorite things to do is play tennis.

We like to come up with themes- like neon tennis or pink vs. purple.

Wanna join the fun and have a tennis party?

Phenomenal Woman

Phenomenal Woman
by Maya Angelou
Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It's the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see.
I say,
It's in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I'm a woman

Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Now you understand
Just why my head's not bowed.
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It's in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need of my care,
'Cause I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.
