Day3 Japanese Music Video with Shimmer & Friends

3rd Day...

& another rainbow in the sky.

6:00 am

We started Day 3 with...

Big smiles, coffee, and chocolate.

Wig Time ;)

We kidnapped our friend Lance.

Surfed my favorite spot...

in wigs, leotards, and matching nails & surfboards.

Buaaaahahaaahahaaaa!

Trying to keep on a wig while surfing

and purposely wipeing out is very tricky.

Made a friend.

We must have paddled around and surfed

at least 8 times in 2 days.

Each time we would come in,

we would check out the footage.

The production crew set up their equipment

in the parking lot.

6:30 pm

DAY2 Japanese Music Video with Shimmer & Friends

Started off the morning with another...

Headed out to the North Shore.

1st stop...Dole Cannery

Our make up artist Aya is sooooo cute!

Kawai desu!

Kuma & I totally bonded on day 2.

I love Kuma...

And Kuma loves meeeeee :)

Green, Pink, & Red

were filmed driving in the G-ride ;)

After the car scene

we drove to Mokulē'ia & then Haleiwa...

We did a lot of chillin during the

morning & afternoon of Day 2.

Thank goodness, because Day 1 was a 15 hour day

of sun, surf, and lots of water time.

Everybody was sun burnt.

There were all kinds of cameras used on the shoot.

7 girls...7 wigs...

7 leotards...

And 7 surboards :o

Love them surfboards.

It makes me want a surfboard quiver

of every color of the rainbow.

After 11 hours of...

laughing, giggling, running, paddling, and jumping

we called it a day.

Imma be a Japanese Animation Surfer Girl in a

Japanese music video

called "Life" by a J-pop singer from Japan.

Here's a sneak peak behind the scenes from Day 1.

We started off the day with a beautiful double rainbow. ))

Magic Island was magical...

This is Kuma. Kuma means "bear" in Japanese.

He's my new homie.

We all had matching surfboards.

And matching leotards....

yessss....

we had to wear leotards surfing.

I was yellow...like the SUN, shimmering in the sky.

Totally appropriate!

Alyssa Wooten was pink.

Johnnie Purvis from Soul Surfing Crew

made sure the production ran smoothly.

And that he did.

The rain was a nice blessing.

The guy in the wet suit is Larry Haynes.

He's a pioneer in surf cinematography & videography.

Jenny waxing up her board.

We all paddled out to surf on our matching boards.

We had the top camera crew in Hawai‘i...

along with big RED.

The "RED" video camera is amazing.

Mike Prickett recently used it for a

recent 3D IMAX movie with

Kelly Slatercalled "The Ultimate Wave Tahiti."

Mike Prickett makes housings for

his top of the line cameras himself.

I asked him if he sells them.

He told me "No. It's a secret."

We had lots of fun taking snap shots

during all the waiting periods.

After a long 15 hours of surfing, laughing,

giggling, snacking, swimming like mermaids,

paddling Kuma around in the lagoon, and hard work,

we called it a day and rolled out some time after sunset.
